CalWater News and Announcements

  • The current publicly available version of delineated Watersheds for California is CalWater 2.2.1 and is available from CaSIL at http://casil-mirror1.ceres.ca.gov/casil/gis.ca.gov/calwater/.
     
  • The CalWater Interagency Watershed Mapping Committee is seeking funds to complete the delineation work for California.  The CalWater MRC (MOU Representatives Committee -- a steering committee) is working behind the scenes to find the funds needed to complete the Watershed Boundary Dataset (WBD) for California, which will form the basis of any new versions of CalWater.

The  Meeting of the CalWater MOU Representatives Committee is  scheduled for September 2006.  Discussion of the meeting will be available for the Federal WBD Team at: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/calwatercommittee/

 Announcement with the latest public information about CalWater and the CA WBD will be posted at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/calwater/

No meeting of the General CalWater Committee is scheduled at this time.

Next CalWater Meeting

There is no meeting scheduled for the General CalWater Committee -- the one open to any and all interested in California Watersheds, the CalWater data, and past and future Watershed Workshops.  Please watch this website and YahooGroups Calwater  for announcements, updates and information on meetings and events.

CalWater Meetings are generally 1:00 - 4:00 pm at the USDA Building, 430 G Street, in Davis, CA, Room 125. Free parking is available in the garage (entrance on 4th. Street) - ask for a parking permit at the front desk.
