CalWater Working Sub-CommitteesThis page is for posting information for use by the Working Sub-committees of the CalWater Interagency Watershed Mapping Committee (IWMC). All documents here must be considered working drafts and are not final documents. This is also where comments received from individuals in the field will be archived. Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Addendum Committee
This group will draft the Addendum to the MOU (which includes wording changed and a long range work plan) via phone calls and email, and distribute to the group for review. Target completion date: December 28, 2001. Working Drafts of Documents
Update of US Geological Survey (USGS) HUCs
Update the existing 2/4/6/8 digit (Levels 1-4) line work to make them topographically (hydrologically) accurate and meet new FGDC guidelines. Updates on USGS Progress
Local Coordination of Delineation Process Committee
Delineate (create/update) the 10/12 digit (Levels 5 and 6) line work. The CalWater committee will oversee this from the top down. However, the committee will work to coordinate the work from the bottom up, encouraging and facilitating local efforts to delineate the remaining watersheds. The idea is to help local groups do the work on their own, with someone from the CalWater committee designated to assist them (or serve on the local committee). Draft Guidelines and Comments from Local Groups
California Watershed Delineation Workshops
Coordinate and plan a "Review of the Portland Linework" workshop, ideally by the end of the year. Develop "California Rules and Guidelines" to guide the workshop, and interpretation of the FGDC guidelines. Other workshops may follow next year, such as a Level 1/2/3/4 Editing workshop, and Local delineation workshops. California Watershed Delineation Workshop Proposal
